Knitting Retreat with Pernille Cordes

Join a unique knitting retreat led by the highly regarded knitting designer, Pernille Cordes.

During the course, you will receive guidance, inspiration, tips, and personalised support in knitting. All of this is combined with cosy moments, shared experiences, and good food.

Pernille Cordes describes the days like this:

Look forward to four days filled with technique, immersion, and pure knitting joy in Tórshavn.

I will teach you some of my favourite techniques – the ones that make a clear difference in the finished project and give that professional look we all aim for.

We will work with four main themes:
Steeking, sandwich edge, and buttonhole calculator
You will learn how to steek without fear, and I will show you how to create beautiful, stable edges and calculate perfectly placed buttonholes.

The Contiguous Method
A modern shoulder construction that provides a perfect fit without sewing. I guide you through the technique step by step until you have fully mastered it.

Japanese Knitting
We explore the Japanese approach to structure, proportion, and aesthetics. You will learn how to read Japanese charts and use the techniques to create elegant details.

Ladderback Stitches
An invisible technique that creates neat, flexible backsides in colourwork and textured patterns. You will learn how ladderbacks can improve tension, elasticity, and the overall finish – beautiful on both the right and wrong sides.

This course is for experienced knitters who want to expand their technical skills and gain new tools for more advanced projects. I demonstrate and explain throughout the sessions, and you will have plenty of time to practice, ask questions, and receive individual guidance.

We take our time, with breaks, laughter, and a warm knitting community, so you leave feeling more confident, inspired, and ready to take on new challenges at home.
